Drawing the Line

Take an old poem, story, or journal entry of yours and use the last line and make it the first line of your writing today. Write about a letter that never made it to its recipient. It was on Suffolk Street. How do you feel? Write about a scary or not-so-scary monster in your closet or under the bed.

Writing down your thoughts helps to clarify them in your own mind. Use alliteration in your poem or in a sentence in a story. Every time you have a thought about the course, write it on a separate sheet of paper.

Write a story or poem that uses ladders as a symbol. Questions that came up in your mind, because of points made in material you read on this topic. A reflective journal - often called a learning journal - is a steadily growing document that you (the learner) write. If you want to become a better writer, the best thing you can do is practice writing every single day.

Writing prompts are useful because we know sometimes it can be hard to think of what to write about! Remembering your dreams is the starting place for learning to have lucid dreams.

If you don't recall your dreams, even if you do have a lucid dream, you won't remember it!
